Te Occidere Possunt Sed Te Edere Non Possunt Nefas Est

So let’s see…
The big news is that Katie has accepted a position with Arch Wireless. What her job function precisely is, we’re not sure. Where we will be living, we’re not quite sure either. But hey, it’s a job – and it’s more than I’ve got. My job search continues, and has been nearly entirely fruitless…but losing hope isn’t going to get me anywhere.
The wedding has hit the home stretch and is even more stressful than it ever was before. If you need my assistance with something wedding related, please be patient with me – everything is very touchy. On better news, we’re taking a honeymoon! Yes, we will be in NYC for 4 days right after the wedding in a nice hotel and all that jazz.
MWNY has turned into a fiasco this year. For those of you who aren’t entirely up to date on the sordid world of Macintosh journalism, Apple’s PR people came up with a press blacklist this year for sites that are not to be given press passes. Of course, this story quickly change to “IDG has requirements that not all sites are meeting” – and despite utterer.com meeting all of the requirements, we are being denied press passes. Taking that, adding the fact that I have virtually no money to get to New York on, and multiplying by the fact that nearly all of the big name companies are skipping the expo…it’s not going to happen. Sorry to those of you who were hoping to see me there.
DDR front – passed Kakumei on Heavy. Full comboed Tsugaru on Heavy. Still cannot pass any Oni courses.
That’s most of the big news. If you need me, you know where to reach me.
Incidently, the title of this article roughly translates to “They Can Kill You, But the Legalities of Eating You Are Quite A Bit Dicier.”

NYC Trip, Day 5

Woke up at 6. Grabbed a shower, got dressed, went to McD for breakfast. Hailed my cab and got over to Javits. Met up with Frank and Paul Rura, and then we queued up for the Keynote. Cut in line thanks to the MGL boys. Saw Sinbad.

Keynote was a hoot; all the new product announcements were great, as was the free mouse that we all got.

Spent the rest of the day wandering the floor and picking up goodies. Was in the front row for Jason Whong eating bugs (pictures will be here later), and I had lunch with Colin & Ian.

Left around 6:10, walked over to ScreamingMedia, and then we ran to the train home. Went to the 10PM showing of X-Men. I thought it was alright, nothing terribly exciting but it was enjoyable.

Came back, talked for a little bit with Dave’s SO Dominique, and then conked out.

I realize this is all a bit terse, and that’s because I’m standing at the Internet cafe in the expo typing, and there’s a line. I’ll expand this all when I get home tomorrow.
