I’m sorry, didn’t we just go through a big money swap to prevent counterfeiting?
I’m surprised there’s been no motion to stick a big fat US flag on there, along with a bald eagle, a picture of Bush, a picture of a soldier, a cartoon of Saddam or Osama with a big Universal No Cross through him, and a new slogan – “DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS”, “LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT”, or “FIGHT WITH US FOR FREEDOM OR DIE”.
These two events happened individually, and will only make sense to Bemani types.
Two days ago: In the kitchen, making a Hot Pocket. Our microwave is stronger than the wattage specified on the box, and I keep trying to narrow the time down to a perfect cooking cycle.
Last time I did 1:40, so this time I punch in 1:35.
My brain thinks “Hmm, that’s nearly 1:30.”
I stop.
I think “…”.
I sigh.
Today, we’re at dinner with my aunt and my dad.
My aunt is talking about a relative, and says “The problem with her is that she’s so absolute…”
Immediately in my head: DEE, DADADADADAA DAA DAAA DAAA DAAAAAAAAAA!
Please, someone bludgeon me out of my misery.
Katie and I just got back from X-2. It was entertaining, and it was certainly better than the first movie, but it’s still not falling into my “I want to own this on DVD” category. It’s really sad when I can break all the actors/actresses down into three distinct categories; entertaining (Cox, McKellen, Jackman, Stewart, Cumming), not entertaining (Halle Berry by far exemplifies this; also, Marsden and Janssen), and wasted (Paquin and all the kid actors who were on for about 5 seconds of total screen time). Worth seeing, but maybe just as a matinee.
Also notable, we purchased tickets for the very first showing of Matrix Reloaded at Regal; 10 PM on Wednesday. Other people in the Ithaca area are more than welcome to meet up with us there if you’re going to that showing; leave me a comment or an IM or something.
Finally, Jared posted a little video game comedy we had earlier in #ctc. Comedy up the wazoo. So go have your wazoo made slightly more hilarious – unless you’re a Miyamoto fanboy.
