I had previously seen IUseThis, a sort of social bookmarking app for Mac applications, but it was brought back to my attention by John’s bookmark yesterday.
Having just gone through the trials and tribulations of installing all of my apps on a new MacBook Pro, I figured it would be a good time to catalog what apps make up my standard install.

Every year, we seem to inadvertently wander into town the day of the International (or Immigrants) Parade. While there are a number of countries that get their own unique parade — most notably the Greeks and the Puerto Ricans — this parade offers an opportunity for all the remaining countries to get their parade on. So whether you have as much of a showing as China (several blocks of paraders) or as little as Haiti (one sedan), you get to march up 6th Avenue in alphabetical order.
It has become very apparent to me that a telephoto lens is a fantastic boon when shooting parades. I wish I had picked one up sooner.

About four years into my web presence, I was putting up pictures of my high school graduation. One of them was of my family gathered around me.
About a week after I put the photo up, I received a joking email from my dad, informing me that I had used his likeness without his permission and that I should remove it immediately. (I’m sure this was one of those life lessons that he always attempts to instill.)
In retaliation, I gave him a witness-protection style blue dot over his head.
In light of Father’s Day, here is a very recent photo of my Dad. I am already looking forward to the cease and desist letter.
