David Moldawer linked to this in his Matrix gripe/review, and I thought it was definitely worth reading. (So is David’s gripe/review; I entirely agree with the “did they know they were going to be making sequels?” thoughts)
Articles like this are what makes me think there’s plenty of material in this movie to go on for the next six months until Revolutions comes out.
So the office network is back, although it may be a little flaky at times. All services should be restored.
The problem was some weird triangle screwjob between bway.net, COVAD, and Verizon. Apparently our network equipment was right around the end of its standard lifecycle, and the new stuff shouldn’t flake out until 2007.
So expect another entry about this in 4 years.
I’d post this on my workblog, but for obvious reasons I can’t. Hopefully people will know to read it here…
Our office network is down. This means:
-Everything worthwhile is down; GameSmith, forums, download1, Arena, etc etc etc.
-I can’t fix it; being 240 miles away means I can’t get around the fact that I have no access to the office LAN.
Ian is currently on his way over to either fix it, or scream at our DSL provider. One or the other. Hopefully will be back later today.
