Never Mistake Motion for Action
I'm employed! Yay! I finally got my ass in gear and just got from my orientation meeting tonight. I'll be working nights at Wegmans all summer and on into the fall.
And in other good news I've also completed my 40 hours of observation at Arcadia HS, and I came to two weird conclusions:
1 - There are people working in the math department there that are actually younger than me
2 - At the same time I was also basically working with Adam's mom.
Strange combination of age groups for me.
And on the strange age thing... One day I spent my time in a classroom being called Mr. Heidt and then went off to a coffee shop at night where the coffee girl (and she wasn't more than 26 or 27) refered to me as "honey", much in the same way that your grandmother does. All these contradictions in age are playing havic in my head and self image of how old I'm actually supposed to be.
So I'm employed, have my future starting to come around, and even have a social life of sorts! When I've been able to find some free time I've been dating this new girl Katie. Ok, when she has free time we've been hanging out and going on dates. I don't really have enough going on just yet to be that busy. In either case though it's been fun so far and it's nice to feel like things in my life are going in the right direction.
And finally, with people starting to move, and assuming I can find time away from work, I'm planning on trying to get back down to New York City and making a trip out to Boston (to finally see Sabra after all this time, as well as anyone else in the area who is around to get together with). Of course n odates have been set yet, but I'll keep all the parties involved up to date.
PS - I've also been reading more lately, and have just about finished Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut (which I have greatly enjoyed so far), and was worried that I'd have nothing to read. However, I just got The Gospel of the Flying Speghetti Monster in the mail, and I picked up both the complete works of Shakespeare and H.G. Wells (both were on major sale at Walden Books), so that should keep me busy for quite a while I think.

Congrats on everything - feels good right? I'm happy for you. Oh, and don't forget to include me on your list of people to visit in NYC or I'll be mad at you over IM and warn you or something.
