Pre-Return

So the time has finally come. In exactly 4 more days I will be heading out and (due to time zone changes) in exactly 4 days I will be back in Chicago (it'll then take me about another 5 hours to get to Rochester). So as I try to finish up everything that I want to before I leave I realize how close that really is. There are so many things I'll miss around here (cheap everything, nice nightlife, good friends, Alma's bed), but also so many things that I'm looking forward to getting back to (movie theatres, driving, English signs, good friends). It's so sad to leave, but at the same time I think I'm finally ready (although it will still be hard to say goodbye to the friends I've made out here).

But onto the main point. On the 20th I shall be back in Rochester, and I will probably stay there at least 2 weeks, after which (money permitting) I hope to start making my trips around to visit people. So for anyone who still does read this, let me know where you'll be so I can hopefully stop by and say hello. Also, once I return home I hope to post to both my blog and flickr account more often. I know I say that quite often, but this time I really do mean it. Especially with the 13 hour time difference, my blog (and email) will be one of the only ways to really keep in touch with my China friends. So I think I can keep to my promise of more posts for at least the remaining 6 months that they're still in Beijing.
