Any Open Letter, Sort of...
So with the widespread use of email the old habit of letter writing has all but died, and I think this is a shame. True emails are faster, cheaper, and for the most part better, but good old fashioned letter have their own charm too. If for no other reason, it's nice to have something other than bills and junk in the box when you go to check your mail. Letters also have a nice human touch to them I find. True, with the speed of mail as it is, you could easily end up telling the person you wrote to everything that's in the letter well before it gets to them, but much like christmas gifts, it's the thought that counts. And I think we should all write more letters!
So to get the ball rolling, I've decided to write more letters. This comes both from a desire to be more social as well as from a desire to finally have a use for all these envelopes I have. So to anyone out there who still reads this blog (and god knows why, but thank you anyway for your continued support), I am offering you the chance to get one, if not multiple, hand written (or in some cases hand-typed) letters from me. All you need to do is leave me a commenet (or drop me an email at tjh23@cornell.edu) with your address, and a brief reason why you deserve my 37< stamp. I hope to hear from you all soon, and if not, I may just have to start sending letters to random names and addresses, which could get a bit messy.
