DJ Shadow, acclaimed hip-hop and electronica artist, and Obey's Shepard Fairey, "street art" pioneer, are proud to announce the release of a limited edition clothing and music box set entitled "PUBLIC WORKS". http://www.obeydjshadow.com The box will become available on September 1st, 2005, at http://www.shopdjshadow.com or at any of the Kid Robot retail locations nationwide.
Consisting of five t-shirts, a brand new, full-length mix CD by DJ Shadow, a copy of Shepard Fairey's book "Post No Bills," stickers, buttons and other surprises, the PUBLIC WORKS package is limited to 450 pieces, priced at $169.99 each. Designed by Fairey himself, each box is hand assembled and numbered. Four out of five of the shirt designs included in the box set will be made available separately at http://www.shopdjshadow.com, beginning in September with Shirt #1, and proceeding in monthly increments. The fifth design is exclusive to the box.

Stunning. Don’t know if I’ll be able to drop all that coin for the box but I KNOW I am getting that olive colored one with the DJ Shadow logo as girder image.
Im goin to the pre-release on the 25th here in LA, I’ll let you know how it is =)
300 people showed up and only 40 copies were available. Too bad for me i was about 288 in line. Apparently people had been waiting there since this morning. Guess I’ll have to try again on september 1st.
