Our happy-go-lucky founder of Utterer.com, Utterer, has created a Sims house for his review which contains 7 Mac Game Webmastering personalities. For some reason I don’t understand, I’m one of them. So enjoy watching Utt make all of us do funny things over at the MGWebMasters Family Home. It’s fun for the whole family.
Back to the Real World
Well, unfortunately, another week with Kate has come to a close. We had a wonderful time, and here’s the recap. Kate got in at 6:30ish on Tuesday night; amazingly, her luggage had been lost. How this is possible given the Ithaca airport (if you’ve been there, you know what I mean) is beyond me. Anyhow, we came home and had dinner, played some Playstation and just generally chilled. Wednesday, we had to ditch our plans regarding blueberry picking just due to time constraints. That evening, we went to Coyote Loco and had a nice dinner – then we headed over to the Mall, where I picked up an 31337 copy of Scrabble – much respect to Westlake for a good port. Thursday, I completely missed my dentist’s appointment (D’oh! Rescheduled for tomorrow morning), and spent the morning packing up all our goods. The car ride up was amusing, if for no other reason than playing Scrabble and Tony Hawk Pro Skater on my Dad’s Powerbook. We arrived at the Day’s Inn (woo-hoo), got comfy, and then went down to the Cocktail Lounge at DENNY’S – yes, this Denny’s had a COCKTAIL LOUNGE. Shortly thereafter, we went to the rehersal dinner and chatted up my cousin Andy and his wife Sarah. Was much fun, and many Grandma horror stories were shared. That evening Kate and I were on our own – we stuck around in the room, made a Denny’s run for some cheese fries, and just had a good time. Say no more. Friday involved breakfast at Denny’s, a trip to the mall, a lunch at Donna’s (along with me whooping ass at Crocquet) and, oh yeah, that wedding thing. The ceremony was nice, although nothing spectacular. The reception afterwords didn’t get started for about 2 hours after everyone had showed up, which was extremely aggrivating. Oh, and the fact that the bartender couldn’t make a Shirley Temple without booze was a bit of a bother. Saturday – another Denny’s breakfast, another luncheon at Donna’s, another trip to the mall, and a trip into the harbor for dinner and a night at the Comedy Club. One of the two comics was hilarious, although I seem to have misplaced his name. Oh well. Today was check-out, along with a trip home (Stopped at the Carousel mall), and the unfortunate departure of Kate, although her flight was delayed due to bad weather in Philly. And now I sit at home trying to catch up with everything. Items acquired: Bubblegum Crisis Complete DVD Set (3 discs with 8 episodes of old-school anime), Being John Malkovich DVD, Monty Python’s Flying Circus DVD Set 2 (Episodes 7-13), Powerpuff Girls “Heroes and Villans” CD and magazine, Scrabble CD-Rom. Thanks to Kate for putting up with everything my family threw at her, my family for not throwing EVERYTHING at her, and my parents for dealing with the situations that didn’t involve us.
Forums
In the “because I felt like it” department, I’ve just installed Phorum, which is a rather nifty forum script thingy. There’s a link in the top, and there’s a whopping two boards right now. One for my web page which no one reads, and the other for Cornell people who don’t live in the same building anymore. Enjoy.
FFTM Trailer
They put up a nice full-length trailer for Final Fantasy: The Movie. Ye gods, this movie is going to kick ass.
Sunday Afternoon Nooz
Well, it’s an average Sunday around here. I’ve spent most of the day cleaning up old crap kicking around my room. In probably the most boring thing I’ll ever post to my web page, I would like to note I had a crapload of change kicking around, and rolled it for an extra $44 of income. Woot. In the bizarre, fanatical hobby department, I finally got around to working on my Nerf gun today. For those who don’t know, I purchased a Nerf Lock N’ Load Blaster in April, and have since modified it from a semi-good gun to an ungodly gun. This sounds ridiculous, but believe me, it’s good stress relief, especially in a dorm setting. Anyhow, today I added a pullback ring, since the gun was lacking an easy cocking mechanism ever since my initial modifications, and I figured out how to reduce the recoil and increase the accuracy with some well placed tape. No more randomly flying darts! Woot! Now that I’m done scaring all of you, on to the rest of my life. Kate gets up here on Tuesday, so as usual I won’t be around much. Thursday we’re heading up to Watertown for a wedding, so we REALLY won’t be around then. I rejoin the real world on Sunday, kicking and screaming as usual. Anyone who’s even vagually interested in wrestling is required to check out WrestleCrap.com, a site dedicated to ridiculous gimmicks. It’s in the Linkpad, if you’d rather. Other than that, I don’t have much else to report. Campus housing opens on the 18th, and my move in will be slow and leisurely. The FV project is progressing nicely, and hopefully we’ll be ready to go by the end of the month. And Deus Ex rocks. If you’re bored, drop me some mail.
